“Couples Who Pray” is a great book for any couple who has the desire to draw closer to God as they draw closer to each other. This book is a charge to couples that the growth of their relationship with each other will astound them if prayer is a priority. The tone of the book is mostly challenging and encouraging. The concept and idea of the book is simple and easy to understand, but much more difficult to implement.
The research and interviews throughout the book are an encouragement that the act of prayer will produce tangible results. Each interview is personally described and the results are obvious to the interviewees. Their testimonies are enlightening to various points of the process of taking on the 40 day challenge to pray together as a couple just five minutes a day.
While this is the first book I’ve read on the topic of prayer specific to the couples relationship, I have read at least a dozen books on prayer. I do especially appreciate the focus of marriage and prayer in this particular book. Great motivation for any couple! Implementation is the harder portion. Take it on!
