“God’s Shelter For Your Storm”  is a gorgeous book by Sheila Walsh with word pictures as beautiful as the pictures within.  The introduction begins with the title “Between a Rock and a Hard Place.”  How many of us have been there?

The author, Sheila Walsh, speaks from her own experience as she describes her struggle with depressions from years ago.  One night she was considered a successful TV personality and the next day, she was admitted to a mental facility for much-needed assistance.

From this depth of pain, God has brought her through His Word and into the light of His promises.

Some of my favorite lines from the book:

Right now, at this very moment, whatever you are facing, God’s grace is enough.

When Christ speaks to storms, whether inside or outside the heart, they obey.

Jesus can supply more than you will ever need.

God will take care of His own, no matter how loudly your current situation is shouting otherwise.

This book is a wonderful gift book, full of encouragement and truth regarding Christ’s love for us, His children.  I am keeping the book out in my living room on the coffee table for guests to view. It’s just that kind of sweetness!

Thanks to Thomas Nelson Publishers and Merge PR for the opportunity to review the book!

I give it a 5 out of 5.
